An important legal/acceptance caveat: most government exam forms require a genuine, handwritten ink signature that's been scanned or photographed — not a signature drawn with an input device. This tool's draw feature is meant for cleanup and quick mockups, not for fabricating an official signature. For anything you're actually submitting on an exam form, use the "Upload a photo" option with a real pen-and-paper signature.

Drawing with a mouse or trackpad tends to produce a shakier, less natural-looking line than your real pen signature — a touchscreen with a finger or stylus works noticeably better if you have one. For anything you're actually submitting on a government exam form, prefer the "Upload a photo" tab with a genuine handwritten ink signature on paper — most forms expect a real signature scan, and a mouse-drawn line can look visibly different from your usual signature in a way that raises questions at document verification. The draw tool is most useful for quick mockups, practice, or non-official use.
Drawing vs scanning a signature
A mouse or trackpad produces an unnaturally smooth, often shaky line that looks noticeably different from a real pen signature — acceptable for a placeholder, a design mockup, or an internal document that doesn't require a verified signature, but risky for anything checked against your identity documents. A touchscreen with a finger or stylus can look closer to a real signature but still isn't the same as pen on paper. When your form requires a genuine signature — which is the case for essentially every government exam application — sign on paper with a pen, then use the "Upload a photo" tab here (or our signature scanning guide) to capture and clean it up.
