Split PDF
If you (or someone else) scanned several documents into one combined PDF, but a form now needs just one specific document from that bundle uploaded on its own, you don't need to rescan anything. This tool offers two modes: extract a page range to pull out specific pages as one new PDF, or split every page into its own separate single-page file — useful when you need each page of a scanned bundle as an individual upload.
This downloads one PDF file per page, one after another (not a zip) — your browser may ask you to allow multiple downloads.
Page range syntax
Enter page numbers and ranges separated by commas. For example, 1-3,5,7-8
extracts pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 8 from the original PDF (page 4 and page 6 are skipped).
A single number like 4 extracts just that one page. Page numbers refer to the
position in your uploaded PDF as it currently stands — check the page count shown after
upload to confirm your range before extracting.
FAQ
Can I extract pages in a different order than they appear in the original? This tool extracts your specified range in the original document's page order. If you need pages reordered, extract them first, then use our PDF merge tool to combine files in a new order.
What happens to pages I don't include in my range? They're left out of the extracted result entirely — your original uploaded file is untouched, and only the new extracted file is downloaded.
Is my document uploaded anywhere? No — splitting happens entirely in your browser using pdf-lib; nothing is sent to a server.
